Giant tree signals start of Holiday Season in Puerto

Giant Christmas tree was lighted on December 1 by Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn and his wife, Mrs. Ellen M. Hagedorn, at the Baywalk, overlooking Puerto Princesa Bay.

Fireworks lit up the night sky at the Baywalk during the lighting of the giant Christmas tree. People from all walks of life were awed by the shining, shimmering tree that officially marked the beginning of the Holiday Season in Puerto Princesa.

Paskuhan sa Kapitolyo (Christmas at the Capitol)

THE PROVINCIAL Government of Palawan will once again celebrate the Yuletide Season with a month-long event dubbed “Paskuhan sa Kapitolyo.” This activity will open on Friday evening, November 30 at the Capitol Park Square with Eucharistic Celebration at 6 p.m. to be followed by the lighting of two giant Christmas trees at the Capitol Complex.

The evening will also be highlighted by the Christmas Animated Display with this year’s theme “Paskong Filipino” and a mini-concert by the prestigious Manila Philharmonic Orchestra to be conducted by Maestro Rodel Colmenar.

Everyone is invited to the opening of Paskuhan sa Kapitolyo.
